Alexandra Raisman
Aly Raisman was an American female gymnast who was captain of her team in the US women's Olympic gymnastics the 2012 Fierce Five team as well as in 2016. In 2016, she was part of the Final Five. Aly Raisman was awarded three gold medals in the 2012 Olympics, in London. Additionally, she brought home a bronze medal on the balance beam. This meant that she became the first American at the Olympics who had the most medal count. The year she was in 2016, and her partner Gabby Doug were the very first Americans who won back-toback golds in team competitions. The silver medals she won came from the individual floor and all-around event. She took a break of three years between each Olympics from competing gymnastics. Also, she was a part of gold-winning American squads at two World Championships. The gymnastics lessons she began in the age of 2 and her favourite event is floor exercises. Aly is a supporter of the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organisation in honor of her grandmother who passed away from cancer. Aly hopes to be a fashion designer and expand the range of her socks and leotards in the near future. Fierce the new novel she is working on is due out sometime in the coming year.
