Jacques Bermon Webster II (born on April 30 1991), better known by his stage name Travis Scott (formerly stylized as Travi$ Scott), is an American artist, rapper, songwriter, and record producer. His stage name is that of his favorite uncle and the first name given to Kid Cudi, his inspiration (whose real name was Scott Mescudi). In 2012, Scott signed his first major label deal with Epic Records. He also signed a publishing agreement with GOOD Music with Kanye West. In April 2013 Scott signed a joint recording contract with Epic and T.I. He's signed to Epic and T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint. Scott's first album, Owl Pharaoh was self-released on his own in 2013. In 2013, Scott released his first full-length mixtape Owl Pharaoh. The album was followed by Days Before Rodeo. Rodeo (2015) was his debut studio album. It included the smash track "Antidote". The second album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016) hit number one on the Billboard 200. Scott released his second album with Quavo Huncho Jack Huncho (2016). This album is his third studio album Astroworld. He also released his first Billboard Hot 100 #1 single, "Sicko Mode" which included Drake. Scott's Cactus Jack Records album JackBoys debuted on the Billboard 200 in late 2019. After his single "Franchise" that featured Young Thug and M.I.A., Scott was successful in releasing the compilation album JackBoys. Scott became the first artist in the Hot 100 to release three singles at the top spot in less than one year in 2020.
