Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist After moving to America her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as a child actor. Her most well-known work is her appearances on AT&T commercials on TV. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and then 2020 (since 2020). Apart from her commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also played the role of a regular character on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. After being cast in the TV pilot that was never aired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl on Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents and she left antisemitism at just two years old. They immigrated to the U.S. with their children. Due to her family's financial problems and her own financial struggles, she began acting in Mattel Barbie commercials as a five-year-old. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School. However, she was kicked out of her sophomore year and obtained the GED. Then, she went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from University of California San Diego. She learned improv comedy from the Upright Citizens Brigade.
